The Pediatric Fellowship is a year-long program designed to enhance knowledge and clinical experience in the field of pediatrics. Our curriculum offers a variety of experiences that give family medicine physicians a more extensive understanding of pediatric illnesses and issues. Fellows benefit from a variety of educational offerings and interact with learners from diverse backgrounds.

Fellowship Features
- Pediatric ambulatory clinic at University Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
- Pediatric care experiences in primary and tertiary care settings.
- Rotation in the Pediatric Emergency Room at Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham.
- Rotations in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa and Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham.
- Interprofessional learning through longitudinal experiences.
- Partnerships with local community programs to provide services inside and outside clinic.
- Opportunities for fellows to teach medical students, family medicine residents and community members, and to develop as learners and teachers through national networking opportunities and fellow-specific intensive training programs.
- Financial support for Continuing Medical Education and professional meetings.
- $69,345 salary with benefits package.
