Dr. Blaine Newman is a resident with The University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program, which is operated by the College of Community Health Sciences.

Newman, who is from Helena, Ala., holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and master’s degrees in population health sciences and rural community health from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine and has a special interest in sports medicine.

After residency, Newman plans to pursue a sports medicine fellowship.
