Welcome to the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our program. Whether you're just beginning to explore family medicine or deciding where you want to spend the next three years, I hope you'll see what makes our residency special.

Our goal is simple – to train outstanding family physicians who are confident, compassionate, and prepared for whatever career they choose. We believe residents learn best by doing – caring for patients, taking ownership of their education, and working alongside faculty who are genuinely invested in their success. We strive to create an environment that is supportive, collaborative, and challenging, where residents are encouraged to grow not only as physicians, but also as leaders, teachers, and advocates for their patients.

As a graduate of this residency, it's especially meaningful to have the opportunity to serve as Program Director. This program helped shape the physician I am today, and I am excited to build on that foundation while continuing to grow and evolve. Medicine is constantly changing, and our responsibility is to prepare residents not just for today's challenges, but for the future of family medicine. I look forward to working alongside our outstanding faculty and residents as we continue to strengthen a program that values excellence, innovation, compassion, and a genuine commitment to one another.
