Dr. Mariem Towakoli is a resident with The University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program, which is operated by the College of Community Health Sciences.
Towakoli, who is from Overland Park, Kan., received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Missouri in Kansas City and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Towakoli has a special interest in obstetrics.
After residency, Towakoli plans to pursue a surgical obstetrics fellowship.
