Assistant Professor


Dr. Ginger Medders is an assistant professor in the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine. She also cares for patients as a family medicine and sports medicine physician at University Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, which the College operates. In addition, Medders teaches resident physicians at The University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program at CCHS. Previously, as a physician at Mercy Clinic Sports Medicine in Fort Smith, Ark., Medders taught resident physicians at Mercy Fort Smith Family Medicine Program as a preceptor. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at UA and her medical degree at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine in Birmingham, Ala. Medders completed her residency at the Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency and a sports medicine fellowship at the University of South Alabama in Mobile.
