Melissa DeViney, MD, is a resident with The University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program.
DeViney, who is from San Clemente, Calif., received her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of Idaho in Moscow. She received her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean in Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. She has special interests in lifestyle medicine, obstetrics, rural medicine and women’s health.
After residency, DeViney plans to pursue an obstetrics or rural health fellowship before practicing outpatient family medicine and emergency medicine in a rural community.
