At the UA Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency, you will be part of a program where you can care for patients in the context of their families and communities. You will learn to practice in ambulatory and hospital settings, in continuity and community clinics, and you will discover ways to meet the emerging challenges of family medicine in our nation’s evolving healthcare system.
DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center, University Medical Center (locations in Tuscaloosa, Northport, Demopolis) and local physician offices and nursing homes provide the training sites for residents to acquire the skills and procedures needed to diagnose and treat a variety of health issues in patients of all ages.
Social events giving residents an opportunity to network and socialize with their peers are hosted throughout the year and include tailgates during Crimson Tide football season, concerts at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater and outings for residents and their families.
